Automatically mark messages as read in the Reading Pane

Step-by-step guide

  1. Go to Outlook.
  2. Click the File tab.
  3. Click Options.
  4. Click Advanced, and then under Outlook panes, click Reading Pane.
  5. Select the "Mark items as read when selection changes" in the Reading Pane check box.
