Fix "Teams meeting details in the body are different from this meeting" Issue in Outlook

  1. On some occasions, customers or MSP’s will provide sales or recruiting their own customer specific Teams links to meetings, interviews, etc.

  2. If this customer link is then shared and pasted into the body of a meeting request with internal Epitec members, Teams will output the following issue below. This is due to the Teams link shared being specific and internal to the customer, and the Teams/Outlook extension automatically generating an Epitec specific link.

  3. To resolve this issue and share the external link in the meeting body, select “Don’t Host Online” from the Teams Meeting ribbon at the top of the screen.

     

  4. After deselecting, paste the shared link into the message body and send. You will no longer receive the above send issue.
