Every computer has a different name. In order for IT to be able to remote access a computer or download an application, they need the computer name. 

Step-by-step guide

For PCs:

  1. Right click on the windows start button.

  2. Select system.

  3. It will show your computer name in the window.


 For Macs:

  1. Click on the Apple menu.
  2. Got to System Preferences.
  3. Click Sharing.
  4. Computer name.
