Surface Pro won't charge

Problem

I forgot to charge my surface pro overnight and it ran out of battery. It only turns on whenever I put the charger in but it won't charge at all. What should I do?

Solution

  1. Turn off the surface.
  2. Plug the charger in the surface
  3. Keep it plugged in for more than 30 minutes
  4. Turn on the computer and it should start normally and still be charging if it is plugged in.
  5. If it still doesn't charge, contact IT.
