Excel spreadsheet is blank on open

Problem

When trying download an excel spreadsheet in Salesforce, the computer opens Excel, but not the file. It just shows up as a blank page. 

Solution

Please follow these steps

1. Open the Excel document. 
2. At the menu bar please locate the View tab
3. Under the View Tab please look for the unhide tab and click on it. 
4. Click OK to confirm

Option 2, if option 1 does not work.

  1. Download the excel document on computer.
  2. Right click on document and select properties.
  3. In the dialog box locate the unlock check box and make sure it is unchecked.
