Will including benefits decrease my hourly rate?

Problem

Will enrolling in medical benefits have an impact on my hourly rate on top of the weekly premiums that are deducted weekly. 

Solution

Adding medical insurance to your compensation package does impact hourly rate. This is in addition to the weekly premiums deducted from your paycheck.

All other insurance benefits: dental, vision, STD/LTD etc. - do not impact your hourly rate. However, these benefits also have weekly premiums which will be deducted from your paycheck.
