Every computer has a different name. In order for IT to be able to remote access a computer or download an application, they need the computer name.
Step-by-step guide
For PCs:
Right click on the windows start button.
Select system.
It will show your computer name in the window.
For Macs:
- Click on the Apple menu.
- Got to System Preferences.
- Click Sharing.
- Computer name.
