Problem
If I were to take an 8 hours of vacation PTO and then work 12 hours on two separate days within the same payroll week, would the extra hours be seen as OT or as regular pay?
Solution
Over time Overtime is only paid out on regular hours worked. Therefore, an employee could have 48 hours but if 8 hours those hours are vacation PTO the employee would not get over timeovertime.
